Redistribution

From its beginnings, La bouche rouge has defended a deep conviction: you should not wait to succeed to share, but on the contrary share to succeed.

The House's performance is therefore guided by its commitment. For each red sold, La bouche rouge “donates” the equivalent of 100 liters of drinking water to the Eau vive international association, in support of the program for children in the Kemerida region of Togo.

Potable water

The lack of water being one of the leading causes of infant mortality today, we support Eau Vive Internationale. For each lipstick sold, we provide 100 liters of drinking water to the association.

The Eau Vive project

The Eau Vive project in northern Togo is implemented in 25 villages in 10 cantons in the prefectures of Kozah and Binah. Drinking water services serve 5,500 people, while sanitation facilities benefit 4,500 people and 2,100 students.

Build Maintain

We are participating in the construction of a drinking water well and hygiene infrastructure for schoolchildren, who are learning how to use it. The Hilou borehole provides access to drinking water to 1,200 villagers who have learned to maintain it correctly.

Our visit to Togo

On April 6, 2019, our team flew to Togo. Nicolas Gerlier, founder of the House, was accompanied by models and ambassadors, Mélodie Vaxelaire and Louise Follain, who contributed to the project through the sale of their “Folie” shade, as well as photographer Ulrich Knoblauch.

Togo is one of the countries in the Gulf of Guinea which covers an area of 56,790 km2 with a total population of 8,608,444 inhabitants (2020) and a density of 152 inhabitants/km2. It is bordered to the east and to the west by Benin and Ghana, respectively, and to the north by Burkina Faso, which constitutes its buffer zone with the Sahelian strip. The southern part of the country is open to the Atlantic Ocean.

As part of the "NOTSE EPHA+" project, led by Eau Vive Togo and Eau Vive Pau-Pyrénées in France, with the assistance of Eau Vive Internationale , the objective is to strengthen the bases of governance in terms of local management drinking water services and sanitation infrastructure, while improving service coverage across all 4 territories. This results in the establishment of drinking water works and an infrastructure system consistent with the planning of the Major Project supported by the European Union.

The sub-project also aims to support municipalities in adopting a participatory and inclusive vision of territorial development, through training and exchanges between stakeholders and communities. It will provide intercommunal promotion tools between the 4 municipalities of Haho, as well as the municipalities and partners in the north (Europe), and even the municipalities of the neighboring countries of Burkina Faso and Benin.

The 4 municipalities of Haho initiated a project supported by the French municipality of Bapaume and the European Commission entitled "Improvement of urban governance and social access in the municipalities of Haho 1, Haho 2, Haho 3 and Haho 4". A total amount of EUR 3,985,644 will be implemented over a period of 4 years (2021-2025).

With this initiative, Eau Vive Togo and its partners (Eau Vive Pau-Pyrénées in France and Eau Vive Internationale ), by adhering to the Framework Partnership Agreement established with the 4 municipalities of Haho, support the 4 municipalities in their technical and financial plan for the implementation of these initiatives.
