We guarantee that in addition to the 1300 ingredients banned in cosmetic products by the European Union, our formulas are also developed without beeswax, without animal fat and without microplastics.

Microplastics, or tiny plastic particles barely visible to the naked eye, are often used in cosmetics and skincare products as emulsifying agents or fillers. From our homes through the sewers, these materials end up in the seas and oceans. Non-biodegradable, these particles not only destroy the environment, but once consumed by marine animals, they move up the food chain and are finally ingested by humans. Avoiding the use of microplastics at all costs when we develop products is essential.

La bouche rouge, Paris is a clean brand, even if all of our ingredients are not of natural origin. When we develop our products, we seek to guarantee clean treatment and serum formulas, as well as impeccable quality and sensoriality for which synthetic pigments may sometimes be necessary. However, we strive as much as possible to integrate ingredients of natural origin into our formulas.

As a clean brand, we are committed to the safety of the ingredients used, including ensuring the sourcing of each ingredient. The ingredients we use are selected for their quality, effectiveness and origin, sourced with respect for human beings and the planet. Our formulas are composed of a minimum of 60% active care ingredients to provide comfort and protection that enhance your natural beauty. Our lipsticks are completely safe for pregnant women.

La bouche rouge does not carry out tests on animals. We ensure that all our suppliers comply with European laws which ban animal testing. We do not sell to countries where animal testing is required by law.

La bouche rouge has integrated the requirement for sustainability into the design of all its products, in order to raise awareness of the overabundance of disposable packaging in the world, and in order to create, quite simply, beautiful objects that last. We have chosen to replace plastic with the know-how of artistic crafts, by creating refillable boxes, manufactured from upcycled leather by the Tanneries du Puy. Timeless objects, to be passed down from generation to generation.

We developed our black vegan lipstick and powder compact boxes from recycled fibers invented by Stella McCartney.

Some irregularities may appear on your leather lipstick case or sleeve. It is a precious object, handcrafted from natural leather whose unique finish is obtained thanks to vegetable tanning. With time and exposure to natural elements, this leather will develop a patina. When you are not using it, store and transport your case in its box to protect the leather and chrome, avoiding high temperatures or excessive humidity.

The paper refill can be used on its own, as a lipstick or palette in its own right. You can also choose to place it in a leather case.

To refill your La bouche rouge lipstick, carefully remove the metal insert containing the lipstick or treatment and place it in its paper case. Slip the new refill into the case: magnetic, it fits in one click.

To refill the compact, gently insert a thin, pointed object, such as a pin, into the small hole on the back of the compact. Apply light pressure until the powder refill releases. Place the new refill inside, pressing lightly so that it clicks into place.

To replace your mascara or eyebrow serum in the dedicated leather sheath, simply push the underside of the tube gently to extract it, and slide in the new mascara or serum in place.

We advise you to clean your leather case every three to six months, depending on use, in order to extend its lifespan as much as possible. Simply apply a small amount of moisturizer or leather wax using a soft cloth.

Once opened, perfume extracts cannot be returned.

If you have a problem with your perfume, contact customer service.

Start by unscrewing the pump from the bottle and breaking the cannula from the refill tube. Insert the refill into the bottle and squeeze to release the perfume extract.

Made of aluminum, the refill is 100% recyclable. So, once it is completely emptied, simply throw it into a sorting bin.

It is not necessary to clean your bottle between each refill, provided you use the refill corresponding to your perfume extract.

The refill should be stored at room temperature.

In French “surcyclage” or even “upcyclage”, which means “recycle from above” or how to make something new out of old, but with a gain in quality and added value for the final product. Applied to fine perfumery, upcycling is a new era which consists of recovering and revalorizing waste raw materials, not only from the perfume sector using new patented technologies, but also from other sectors such as design and agri-food.

All our products are made in France, with the exception of our brush collection. It is manufactured in Osaka, Japan, in the tradition of Kaizen calligraphy, faithful to the philosophy of continuous improvement.

La bouche rouge, Paris is committed to choosing the most sustainable options for its products and packaging materials. We do not use plastic in our packaging and prefer to use exclusively recyclable materials, such as FSC paper. FSC certification guarantees that the product in question comes from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.

Red Lips sets high standards to ensure the best results in makeup. To achieve this level of requirement, La bouche rouge powders are made by hand, using ancestral French know-how.

The powders are infused with natural pearls and contain a high concentration of hyaluronic acid to create the perfect color, hold and application. This natural serum formula can result in a valuable but fragile, potentially irregular texture, unlike industrial, machine-made products. A slightly irregular appearance is therefore not a defect, but rather proof of the superior quality of your serum powder.

Our lipsticks are made by hand in our workshop in France, in metal molds - not silicone. Silicone molds are often used to apply a logo and add a shiny effect to the rouge stick. The inscription and shine fade after a few uses, while the 400 million molds required for this process each year cannot be recycled. We chose metal molds to avoid producing waste, although they may cause some small irregularities on the stick, such as bubbles or matte marks. We are sorry, but would like to reassure you: this in no way alters the texture, hold or quality of the lipstick. The House is committed to continuous improvement and strives to offer you the most remarkable makeup formulas and results, clean for you and for the planet, without waste during production.

The La bouche rouge laboratory is the first to be able to create a color on request, from an infinite selection of shades. Each individual, each unique beauty is able to find their own, in the spirit of inclusiveness dear to the House. To define your custom shade, first choose the desired finish, matte or satin, then select your favorite color and name your shade. To ensure the most accurate selection possible, ideally use an Apple device with maximum brightness.

Our team of experts will develop your custom lipstick color, down to the pigment. The creation process lasts at least 7 days.

We advise you to clean your brushes every two to four weeks, depending on use, with water and regular soap. Let them dry with the bristles facing down to prevent water from getting into the wooden part of the brush.
